EMMANUEL FRENCH SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH
DIX HILLS, NEW-YORK
A NEW FACE- A NEW BEGINNING- A NEW HOPE FOR THE COMMUNITY
LET'S DO IT TOGETHER
The EMMANUEL FRENCH SDA is part of a world-wide organization with more than 15 million members in countries around the world. Our church is community oriented. Our vision is to be able to serve the community of Huntington and its surroundings in every possible way: spiritually, physically and socially.
Our membership has grown exponentially for the past few years; we needed a better place to accommodate our activities our members and our guests. We needed a better place to better serve our community and participate in its growth.
We are grateful to the fact that the Northeastern Conference has negotiated on behalf of our congregation the purchase of a three-acre religious complex located in Dix Hills, NY. The compound includes a beautiful House of Worship, featuring: the main Sanctuary, a large fellowship room, a real Community Resource Center with a kitchen, and also a parsonage featuring: a spacious 2-car garage, 5 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a basement, etc. We are thankful that the Lord has miraculously provided us with a place where we can continue to carry out our spiritual outreach mission, and our participation on a broader scale in community service and various activities.
Through our Emmanuel Outreach Ministry,we need to unfold our Community Resource Center to offer services for seniors, disabled, adults and youth. We need to open free services including but not limited to: Education( ESL, Music, Computer literacy), Health Screening, Health Information and Health Seminars, Health maintenance and prevention through Exercises, Physical Fitness, Nutrition Counseling, Weight Control Programs.
We plan to participate on a larger scale in Community Feeding Programs, Clothing Give Away Programs, and get involved in Disaster Preparedness Programs.
With so much to offer, we will need your help.
In order to keep up with the challenges of the new building complex, we are now asking all of you, our brothers and sisters, and friends of our congregation to support us in prayers and goodwill. Please continue to be part of this journey with your donations as we set in motion the renovation phase. Feel free to open up our Online Giving page to not only give your tithes and offerings but also to contribute to the maintenance of our new facility, that way you will make possible our humanitarian activities. We also encourage you to join our " One Hundred Club", a club of volunteers who pledge to help us raise fund for the renovation and maintenance of our new church complex. Simply make tax deductible contribution via our online giving to that fund.
Also, we would be happy to have you join us in worship or at one of the church events listed on our calendar.
About Seventh-day Adventists: WHO ARE THEY
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.
